Eastern Area Community Ministries provides support services to people in need by building cooperative relationships between communities of faith, organizations and businesses.

EACM is a fantastic group of staff and volunteers committed to serving those in the East end of Louisville through the variety of ministries EACM offers.

Ice Storm

An ice storm has moved across much of the midwest, leaving over one million homes without power. The power outage is the second largest in Kentuckiana history; the first being the windstorm from Hurricane Ike back in September. Officials say it could be two weeks before power is restored to many families. Our family lost power for only a few hours.

For my kids, the snow and ice is a reason to celebrate and play.

* Officials now say this outage is the worst in Kentucky history, surpassing the windstorm in September.
